Morning Line: What Spills Out?

“…. trials will show that your faith is genuine…” 1 Peter 1:7 NLT

It is impossible to tell by looking at a person how much faith they have until they’re kicked. Compare your faith to a bucket of water; you only discover how much is inside when somebody bumps it. Likewise, when life bumps into you, you spill out what you are full of fear or faith, love or hate. Maybe you’ve received bad news. What splashed over the side? Dreading the worst or trusting God for the best? People can’t tell by looking at you how much faith you have, but they can tell by listening to you. In life, bumps, spills and crashes are going to happen. You will be tested. The test doesn’t just to reveal your faith. It reveals who you are. However in faith and trust it can refine you.

“ So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 1 Peter 1:6-7 (NLT)

God doesn’t test your faith in order to know how much you have, He already knows. Stop and consider the hardest thing that’s going on in your life, then ask, ‘Is this situation decreasing my faith or increasing it?’ The Bible says: ‘These trials will show that your faith is genuine. Remember it’s just a test and you have all of heaven backing you up to pass “IT”
As your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much peace, fulfillment and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.’ 1 Peter 1:7 My friend fill your bucket daily with the “ Word’s” of Father & Son stirred by the Holy Spirit and you will not be shaken I trial, but victorious!

The promise: “what, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us” Romans 8: 31
